Research Approach is the plan or blue print which explains the steps to be undertaken to gather data, analyse and interpret your findings

The decision on which research approach to adopt is determined by : the philosophical assumption, research design, research methods of data collection analysis and interpretation.

How to select a research paradigm

A research paradigm is “the set of common beliefs and agreements shared between scientists about how problems should be understood and addressed” (Kuhn, 1962)

  • ontology – What is reality?
  • epistemology – How do you know something?
  • methodology – How do you go about finding it out?
