Open Access refers to freely available, digital, online information. A scholarly literature that is free of charge and often carries less restrictive copyright and licensing barriers than traditionally published works, for both the users and the authors.
Transformative agreements, also referred to as transitional or “read and publish” agreements. Libraries and publishers make transformative open access (OA) agreements so that authors don't need to pay article publishing charges (APCs) to make the final version of their articles open access.
