EBSCO eBooks: eBooks Basics

Ebsco eBooks can be read online, in-browser by selecting the "EPUB Full Text" option when viewing the eBook record.

Adobe Digital Editions

• In order to download EBSCO eBooks, you must have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your device. You will also need to use Adobe Digital Editions to transfer an eBook to a supported portable eReader device.
• Adobe Digital Editions is a free download available at this link
• In addition to Adobe Digital Editions, you'll need to create a personal EBSCO account to download ebooks. You'll be prompted to create or login to your existing account when you select the "Download this (offline)" option.
• After logging in to your account, you'll be prompted to select a checkout period (1-3 days). After selecting your loan period, click on  “Checkout & Download” to download your ebook.
• When the File Download box opens, select “Open” and your eBook will open in Adobe® Digital Editions.

• Internet Explorer versions 8.0 and older are not compatible with eBooks in EPUB format. To view an EPUB format eBook, we recommended these browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 11 or later.

Ebsco eBooks App:

• EBSCO eBooks can be downloaded and read on the EBSCO Mobile App without the need for an Adobe ID or separate reader app. This functionality is now supported in the app on iOS devices, available in Apple App Store, and on Android devices, available in Google Play Store.
