Using Google Scholar & UNIZULU Libraries' Resources: Locate Library Resources

How to link UNIZULU library's Resources to Google Scholar

Linking Resources to Google Scholar

Linking UNIZULU Library to Google Scholar

  1. Access the Google Scholar Settings.
  2. Click Library links on the left-hand menu.
  3. Search for University of Zululand in the search box.
  4. Select the checkbox next to the University name name and click Save.

Step 2: Locate Library Resources

Once you have saved your settings for the UNIZULU Libraries, when you search in Google Scholar, it will offer options for finding many of the items in your result list.

Option 1:

Google Scholar has a high degree of confidence that the item is available from the UNIZULU Libraries.  Information about the library's holdings for electronic journals are exported to Google Scholar once a week.   For these items, Google Scholar offers a link to e-Resorces@UNIZULU to the right of the item.

The e-Resources@UNIZULU link will prompt you to enter your UNIZULU's Open Athens details for full access.

Option 2:

If the e-Resorces@UNIZULU link does not display to the right of the item, use the More link or the arrows >> below the search result.

The "More>> link may also offer an e-Resorces@UNIZULU link. The e-Resorces@UNIZULU link found here searches the UNIZULU Library to see if the item is available electronically or in print.   If the library cannot provide the item from our online or print collections, you will be redrected to the WorldCat where you can request the item via Inter-library loans from other libraries
